So my Mom is about to have hip replacement surgery in an hour or so. I am sitting in the waiting room for family of surgery patients. They have WiFi. That’s good. As I listen to her doctor and the attending physicians in the patient waiting room - I keep thinking about the “Healthcare” debate that is raging right now. It’s not really a debate it it? Its more of a shouting match between angry, undisciplined children. Inova, where my Mom is a member, is a not for profit healthcare system. They own many hospitals and outpatient care facilities in Northern VA. They had an operating surplus of 2.1 billion. Pretty good for a non-profit.
